A Masterful Recital

This long-delayed post was delayed even further when Blogger absolutely refused to be obedient to my blogging wishes this morning.

So without any further delay, welcome Amy's masterful Masters recital.

This was one of the drama bits that I was endlessly whining about last week.

Amy's recital wasn't actually the problem.

It was the recital before Amy's that provided the monkey wrenches.

It was kind of like having 2 weddings back to back in the same church. One bride books the church far in advance while the other waits until the last minute, books the time right ahead of far sighted bride, then swears, cross her heart, to vacate the church in PLENTY of time for far sighted bride's ceremony.

Ummm...it didn't happen.

While Amy's recital was scheduled for 7:30pm, the previous recital didn't actually end until 7:43pm.

Nice.

While Amy warms up before the recital you can see my dear husband rushing to set up the recording gear (the previous recording guy didn't vacate until 8pm. Nice.)

The concert finally got under way at about 8:20 (but the ensuing emails regarding the major scheduling snafu flew for days afterwards).

Amy has been a student of mine for a total of 7 years.

She has been a pleasure to work with.

With this recital, her course of study with me is complete.

She did a magnificent job.

I'm extremely grateful for the time we've had together.

We'll still spend time together.

It'll just be over tostada salads at Disneyland.

Oh, and we might find Nemo while we're at it!
