It's that time of year. Time is flying and accompanists are in short supply. What are we talking about?
Flute Juries. What is a Flute Jury anyway. You've been taking flute lessons all semester, receiving weekly grades for practice time and lesson performance. How will you demonstrate what you have learned? You will prepare a solo to play with a piano accompanist in front of several faculty members. No pressure there. Performing well under pressure is what is required of musicians, hence the JURY. Two lessons remain in the semester after this week. Have at it! Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry
